An installation and an artist book explore the production and use of approved and less approved historical inventions for the modeling, measurement, detection, improvement, reformation and ultimately the occupation of terrestrial grounds. Devices of banal and specialized origin are merged and equalized in a set of 78 images and texts, to form a sequential interconnected catalogue of tools which enable the prevalent anthropocentric gaze onto the earth surface, and with it, a new landscape.
